Ancolie
Ancolie hated drawing as a kid and avoided it at all costs; little did she know that, in her twenties, she would pick up a brush and see it as a way to escape the busy daily life.
She nurtures her love for nature and animals by spending most of her time outside. You will probably find her wandering somewhere in the wild, admiring a little flower. Her boundless curiosity allows her to notice the tiniest details that cross her path and transform them into delicate aquarelle paintings.
If you see flower paintings, that is probably Ancolie’s little touch… as she loves portraying them in all shapes and colours. But her creativity doesn’t stop there: her little world is colourful, delicate, and playful, mirroring her personality.
Jonas
Jonas loved drawing as a kid. Little him would not leave the house without his trusty notebook and pencil. Although Jonas had forgotten his hobby as he grew up, Ancolie reignited his creative spark.
The outdoors have always been Jonas' favourite place to be. To him there is nothing more magical than encounters with wildlife and watching them while leaving them undisturbed. Being a behavioural biologist, he tries to capture their most intimate behaviours with his paintbrush.
The realistic, but yet simplistic aquarelles of animals make his works recognisable. To him, art is a tool to bring the living world around us closer to everyone.
